Thanks to all of our participants, volunteers, and sponsors! That Dam Race had two highly successful years. We ran in to some organizational snags in our third year and had to cancel the race. We’ll see if we can revive it in the future.

We’ve run the Frostbite Dash – a New Year’s Eve underwear run – for four years (2014 – 2017) and had a small but silly turnout each year.
The first ever Snowman Triathlon (January, 2015) was challenging! It snowed overnight which meant that the groomed cross-country ski trails were no longer groomed and the streets that we had to cycle hadn’t been plowed. Just to make it extra challenging, the temperature plummeted resulting in other events being cancelled…but not ours.
We hosted a short orienteering event on February 15th, 2015 as part of Pinawa’s MB Hockey 100th Anniversary Celebrations. The course was less than 2 km long and had 10 markers to find. The fastest time to finish was 25 minutes.
We set up an Orienteering Event & Obstacle Course in March for elementary school kids and then set up the same course for families on Easter Saturday in 2015. 45 school kids, 16 day care kids, and 38 community members took part in our events. Thanks to the local businesses who supported us by donating materials: The Town of LdB, Manitoba Hydro, Adrian Tire, & Osis.
We set up another Orienteering Event for elementary school kids in March, 2016 and in March, 2017.
We created and ran an obstacle course at Pinawa Dam as part of the RM 100 celebrations in July, 2017.
